Bio

Welcome to Mrs Webb's 3rd Grade Class

All About Mrs. Webb

My name is Jessica Webb and I am a 3rd grade teacher at CES.  I was raised in Ypsilanti, Michigan (Go Blue!)  I have a huge family that means the world to me.  I graduated from Calvary Christian Academy in 1991.  In 1993 I married my husband, Scott, and we moved to Cleveland so that he could attend Lee College.

Scott and I have two children, Megan and Tyler. We attend Mt. Olive Ministries.  While our kids were small, I began working for Bradley County Schools.  I also started taking college courses part time.  In 2006, I finally graduated from Lee University.

In the past 17 years at Charleston (and one year at another school), I have worn many hats.  I have been a Title I, Special Education, Speech/Language, and Kindergarten assistant.  I am beginning my 11th year as a certified teacher and I love it!  It was worth the struggle to get here.  I have also served as an officer with the P.T.O. for several years when my kids were young.

I have very strong beliefs about CES.  As a mom, I could not be more pleased with the education that my kids received here.  They were both exposed to high quality instruction and extra curricular activities.  I know their time at CES  helped them to be successful throughout their time at OMS, WVHS, Lee University, and now in their careers.  As a teacher, I am continually impressed with our school and faculty.  My husband and I have dedicated many years to the students of Bradley County Schools because we believe in the vision of the system.

My Thoughts on Education

I believe that all children can be successful.  Success may mean different things to different people.  It is my job to challenge each child and push them to reach their fullest potential.

I also believe that all children do not all learn the same way.  I try to incorporated different styles of teaching in my daily routine.  You will find whole and small group instruction.  You will also find cooperative learning projects and small group work in workstations.  I am very excited about the addition of the Interactive Promethean Board and projector, ActivExpressions, and iPads.  These methods of instruction bring learning to life as students actively participate in a variety of lessons in all subject areas.
